Teagan Stedman

Nutritional & Metabolic Biology PHD Student at Columbia University Irving Medical Center

Teagan Stedman is currently a PhD student in Nutritional & Metabolic Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, working in the Harris Wang Laboratory since August 2023. Stedman is also the founder, chairman, and CEO of Shred Kids' Cancer, a nonprofit established in 2008 that empowers youth to support peers battling cancer. Previous experience includes roles as a research technician and undergraduate researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital's Lesser Lab, focusing on various aspects of cellular immunity and therapeutic probiotic development. Additional research internships were completed at Harvard Medical School, where innovative projects on probiotics were undertaken, as well as a role in engineering predictive systems for vascular applications. Stedman's early educational foundation includes studies at Harvard University and Westminster School, building on earlier education at Mirman School in Los Angeles.
