Robert Kasdin is the Senior Executive Vice President, leading a number of strategic initiatives as well as overseeing Facilities and Operations, Human Resources, and Columbia Technology Ventures.
Kasdin first joined Columbia in 2002 as the Senior Executive Vice President overseeing Finance and Operations at the start of President Emeritus Lee Bollinger’s tenure. In 2015, Kasdin left Columbia to serve as Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Prior to his tenure at Columbia, Kasdin was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at University of Michigan; Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and Vice President and General Counsel at Princeton University Investment Company. Robert began his career as a corporate attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
He received his A.B. from Princeton University and his J.D from Harvard Law School, and he currently serves as a Trustee of Barnard College.
