Susan Caverly has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Susan has owned their own practice, Susan E. Caverly, PhD, ARNP, BC, and has been self-employed since 1990. In addition, they have served as the Director of Psychiatric Services & the Integrated Cognitive Therapies Program at Therapeutic Health Services. Susan has also held the position of Adjunct Faculty in the College of Nursing at Seattle University. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Director of Behavioral Health at Columbia Valley Community Health.

Susan Caverly completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nursing at the University at Buffalo from 1972 to 1976. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of Washington. Though the specific time frame is not provided, Susan attained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychosocial Nursing, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mental Health Policy, and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Addictions, sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
