Seth Rice, CYSA, currently serves as the Sports Programs Manager and Sports Coordinator at the Columbus IN Parks and Recreation Department since September 2021. Previously, Seth worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation, where responsibilities included organizing games to promote physical activity and developing healthy habits among high school students. Seth also held the position of Head Girls Basketball Coach at Christel House Academy South, where a record of nine wins in a season was achieved during the 2018-2019 school year. Earlier career experience includes various roles at Angie's List, including Advertising Account Manager and Member Sales Representative. Seth holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Ball State University and completed Academic Honors at Columbus North High School.

Founded in 1947, the City of Columbus Parks and Recreation Department provides the highest quality park and recreation services for the citizens of Columbus. We are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of 23 parks, nearly 1,000 acres of park land and maintain 23 miles of People Trails. In addition to the many open space parks and sports complexes, the Parks Department also operates and maintains a variety of facilities throughout the City of Columbus.
