Dee Ayres is an experienced educator with a focus on teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, currently serving at the Columbus Literacy Council since April 2012. Prior to this role, Dee worked as a Language Arts and Reading teacher at Dublin City Schools from August 1987 to November 2002, and as a Language Arts Teacher at Johnstown High School from August 1978 to June 1987. Dee holds a Master's degree in Reading Teacher Education from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Reading Teacher Education from Michigan State University.

Our mission is to increase employability, enable future education, encourage civic involvement and promote family stability and support. For the last 50 years, CLC has been a steady and effective presence in our community using interdisciplinary approaches to improve the capacity of underserved, at-risk populations.
