Columbus Symphony
Meghan McDevitt serves as the Director of Education at the Columbus Symphony since January 2020, where notable achievements include increasing student engagement from 18,000 to 70,000 and creating over ten new educational programs. Previous roles include Youth Orchestra Manager and Music Teacher at KIPP Columbus, where Meghan was the founding music teacher for the Middle Orchestra and initiated the first Annual KIPP Columbus Arts Showcase. Experience also includes an internship at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the Education Department, where Meghan co-authored a school concert program curriculum. Additional teaching roles span across various schools, with significant accomplishments in curriculum development, ensemble direction, and partnerships with prestigious institutions like Carnegie Hall and the Silk Road Ensemble. Meghan holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Kent State University.
