Sara C. Flowers, DrPH, is a renowned thought leader in evidence-informed and inclusive sex education — as well as an advocate for emotional intelligence in sex education. Using an intersectional lens Flowers prioritizes the ways that practice-led research and research-driven practice work together to inform the burgeoning era of sex-positive, inclusive, trauma-informed sex education. Additional research interests throughout her career include: fidelity and adaptation of sex education curricula — especially related to expanding abortion access and dismantling systemic sexual and reproductive health inequities for marginalized people.
