Tamara Burke Hlava, ODCP

Tamara Burke Hlava, ODCP has extensive experience in the areas of talent acquisition, human resources, and project management. Tamara began their career as a freelance photographer and assistant in 1992. In 1995, they became the Director of Administration at Fluent Communications (now Story Worldwide), where they managed human resources and oversaw all aspects of facilities management and administration operations. From 2000 to 2006, they worked at Smashing Ideas Inc as a Producer and Project Manager, and then as the HR & Recruiting Manager. In 2005, they also worked as a Talent Manager at Filter Talent. From 2006 to 2011, they were a Recruiter at Smashing Ideas. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Senior Advisor, Talent Acquisition & PHR at Agency Growth Partners. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Talent & Ops Consultant & PHR at Tamara Hlava Consulting. Since 2014, they have been a Partner, EVP of People & Culture and Vice President of People + Culture, as well as the Director of People Operations + PHR at Column Five.

Tamara Burke Hlava, ODCP has a diverse educational background. Tamara obtained a BA in Comparative Literature, with a minor in Italian, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Tamara also completed a Certificate in Drawing and Painting from the University of Washington. In 2013, they completed Human Resources Management and Services and PHR Certification from Brandman University. In 2015, they completed the Organizational Development Certificate Program from the Institute of Organizational Development and became an Organizational Development Certified Professional (ODCP). Additionally, they have a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI.
