Megan Curtis

Physician at Column Health

Dr. Curtis went to college and graduate school in the Bay Area followed by four years of medical school in New Orleans and then residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She has spent the past two years completing Infectious Diseases fellowship through the combined Harvard program. Dr. Curtis has a strong clinical and research interest in women’s reproductive infectious diseases-- most recently focused on treatment of pregnant women for hepatitis C infection. Dr. Curtis joins Column Health to pioneer the program to treat hepatitis C. Prior to joining, she’s had been privileged to learn from experiences with diverse patient populations. In addition to providing care for patients locally in infectious diseases, Dr. Curtis has cultivated an understanding of the complexities of caring for patients who inject drugs through her residency training; cared for members of the Navajo nation at Shiprock, NM; taught medical interns at a hospital in Kenya; and provided primary care for refugees. Such opportunities have inspired her to focus on ways to improve care through creating educational projects informed by medical anthropology frameworks and engaging in thoughtful research.
