John MacKenzie

John Mackenzie is the current Director at Colworth Park Limited Partnership. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Knowledge Exchange at the University of Dundee from October 2000 to October 2014. In this role, they provided advice and guidance to emerging University spinout and start up ventures, managed the Dundee University Incubator facility, and oversaw the Innovation Portal which facilitated and encouraged knowledge transfer and innovation between small businesses and Tayside academia.

Before joining Research and Innovation Services, John worked in the Business Gateway in Dundee, where they provided business advice and mentoring to a diverse range of start up and existing businesses over a four year period. John started their career as a trainee accountant with Ernst and Young followed by various accountancy posts in the voluntary, public and private sectors.

John MacKenzie has a Master of Arts in Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen.

Their manager is Simon Hoad, Executive Director. John MacKenzie works with Suketu Shah - Director, Miranda Knaggs - Director, and Jeroen Houtzager - Director.
