Jeremy Barber

Jeremy Barber has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Jeremy founded Combine Ventures in 2020 and currently serves as its Founder. In 2021, Jeremy joined Brightspot as a Director. Jeremy will also be starting as a Director at Edifice in 2023.

Before their current roles, Jeremy was the Co-Founder of Harvest Builders, where they played a key role in building technology companies in the fin-tech, prop-tech, and insure-tech sectors. Jeremy also worked as a Mentor at North Forge Technology Exchange during the same period.

Prior to that, Jeremy co-founded Joro App in 2016 and worked there until 2019. Jeremy also founded Venture Startup Consultants in 2015, specializing in innovation consulting for emerging industries and social impact initiatives.

Jeremy served as the Director of Growth/Innovation Consultant at Master Of Code Global from 2017 to 2019. Jeremy also had a brief stint as an MLA Candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada in 2013.

In the earlier years of their career, Jeremy worked as a Field Technician/Researcher at the University of Manitoba. Jeremy gained significant field work experience in the Canadian High Arctic and performed water quality research in the Manitoba Great Lakes and Ontario Lake of the Woods areas.
