Jon Shartar has a comprehensive work experience history. From 2019 to present, they have worked at Combined Properties, Incorporated, first as Vice President of East Coast Retail/Leasing and then as Senior Vice President of East Coast Retail. Prior to that, they worked at ECHO Realty from 2013 to 2019, where they served as Senior Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management and successfully acquired multiple grocery anchored shopping centers on the East Coast. From 2007 to 2013, Jon worked at Madison Marquette as Director of Investments, where they managed a $487M private equity fund and executed various investment strategies. Jon also worked at Winter Properties as a Development Associate in 2005, where they contributed to two ground-up multifamily development projects. In 2003, Jon started their career at Teach for America as a Teacher/Corps Member.
Jon Shartar earned a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College between 1999 and 2003. Jon then pursued an MBA in Real Estate Finance at Emory University's Goizueta Business School from 2005 to 2007. In addition, in 2001, they briefly attended St. Catherine's College, Oxford University, with a focus on Economics.
