Lucas Figueiredo

Lucas Figueiredo is an academic and data science professional with a strong foundation in artificial intelligence and computer science. Currently serving as a Professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a Researcher at the Laboratório de Pesquisa Aplicada em Ciência de Dados e Métodos Analíticos, Lucas also holds the position of Data Scientist at Comerc Energia, following a merger with Doc88, where Lucas initially started as an intern. As a founder and president of the Liga Mackenzie de Inteligência Artificial e Ciência de Dados, Lucas has played a pivotal role in establishing Brazil's first AI and Data Science Student Academic League. Additional experience includes a research internship at IBM and previous roles as an undergraduate researcher and a volunteer Linux Sysadmin. Lucas is pursuing a doctoral degree in Artificial Intelligence at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, complemented by a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
