Debbie Herd

Debbie Herd, PhD, currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Collin College since January 2023, teaching courses in Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, and Organizational Behavior. At the University of North Texas G. Brint Ryan College of Business, Debbie has been a guest lecturer since August 2021, focusing on motivation theory, teams/groups, and performance management. With a robust background in talent development, Debbie has held the position of SVP and Director of Talent Development at Comerica Bank since February 2008, where notable accolades include recognition as a Top 16 Latina Executive by LATINA Style, Inc., and multiple Brandon Hall awards for leadership and learning programs. Previous roles include Director of Talent Management and Director of Recruiting at Heidelberg Materials and various HR positions at JCPenney Company, Inc. Debbie's academic credentials include a PhD in HR Development from the University of Texas at Tyler, an MS in Organizational Development from Saint Joseph's University, an MBA from Texas Woman's University, and a BA in Merchandising from Texas Tech University.
