Head of Product at Comestri

Steve Bonnet has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. From 2000 to 2003, they were an English Language Teacher for Gap Activity Projects. From 2003 to 2007, they were an English Language Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET). From 2007 to 2009, they were an Analyst for Accenture, where they specialized in Project and Change Management. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Director of Operations at Purecomm Retail Software, where they headed the Operations team, managed the onboarding of clients, and started a Client Support organization from scratch. From 2014 to 2019, they were the Director of Operations - Asia for Purecomm Retail Software and Comestri, where they maintained their Director of Operations role and acted as a Product Subject Matter Expert for the Order Management System. In 2019, they became the Head of Product and General Manager Hong Kong for Comestri, where they aligned on the Product Roadmap with the Executive Leadership Team, identified interdependencies between Comestri products, and ensured the smooth operation of the Hong Kong team.

Steve Bonnet began their education in 2000 when they obtained a BA in Politics (Hons) from the University of Nottingham. In 2005, they attended the Sendai English Center to study Japanese, and in 2006 they attended Fudan University to study Mandarin Chinese. In 2012, they obtained a PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification from APMG-International. Steve also obtained a Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Level 2) from The Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in December 2006, an HSK Chinese Proficiency Test (Level 5) from the Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in November 2006, and a Senior Product Manager Certification from Product School in January 2023.
