Anton du Plessis

Anton Du Plessis is an experienced professional in the fields of sales, academia, and research, currently serving as the Director of Sales for Dragonfly EMEAI at Comet Group since December 2021. In addition to this role, Anton holds the position of Editor in Chief for Tomography of Materials and Structures and Deputy Editor for Additive Manufacturing Letters at Elsevier. Anton is also a board member of the International Association for Computed Tomography and a visiting professor at Central University of Technology, Free State, where involvement in additive manufacturing research projects is emphasized. As a research associate at Nelson Mandela University and a member of various editorial boards, Anton contributes significantly to the discourse surrounding imaging technologies and additive manufacturing. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics from Stellenbosch University and a Management Certificate from the Management College of Southern Africa. Previous roles included head of sales at Object Research Systems and a long tenure at Stellenbosch University as an associate professor and senior lecturer.
