Mackenzie Higgens

Mackenzie Higgens is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in manufacturing and engineering roles. Currently, they hold the position of Factory Engineering Manager at Cometeer since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Cometeer starting in July 2021.

Before joining Cometeer, Mackenzie worked at Conformis as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from January 2020 to July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at DePuy Orthopaedics as a Manufacturing Engineer 2 from June 2015 to January 2020.

Mackenzie also has experience in the aerospace industry, having worked at Magellan Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer from May 2013 to June 2015. Their role at Magellan included responsibilities such as daily production management, fixture design, and collaboration with customers and vendors.

In addition, Mackenzie gained experience in quality engineering during their time at Euro-Pro as a Quality Engineer Co-op from May 2012 to November 2012. They were responsible for root cause analysis and presenting analytic data to support production changes.

Their early career experience includes a role as a Process Engineer Co-op at Ruger Firearms from May 2011 to September 2011. In this role, they were involved in Lean Manufacturing and fixture design for a new production line.

From 2008 to 2013, Mackenzie Higgens attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
