Johan van der Merwe

Johan Van der Merwe possesses extensive experience in the fibre optics sector, currently serving as National Fibre Director and previously holding the positions of National Head of Fibre and Project Manager at Comex 2000 since March 2013. Prior to this role, Johan worked as a Fibre Optic Engineer at AFL from August 2010 to March 2013, and held multiple roles, including Fibre Implementation Supervisor, Fibre Optic Engineer, and Field Engineer at Instalcom Limited between April 2001 and August 2010. Educational qualifications include ongoing studies for IOSH certification from Auther J Gallagher since 2018, a Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner degree in Project Management from QA Ltd also since 2018, and an NVQ Level 2 in Construction Operations related to Excavation and Reinstatement from Prospects International, ongoing since 2007.
