Sonia Martinez Camarena

Sonia Martinez Camarena has over three decades of experience in the financial and legal sectors, currently serving as a Lawyer and Coordinator for Authorization & Registry at CNMV since July 1990. In this role, Sonia acts as the Spanish representative for the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), contributing to various committees and task forces, including the Investor Protection & Intermediaries Standing Committee and the ESMA Review Panel on conduct of business rules. Prior to CNMV, Sonia was a consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick and worked as an account officer in the Loans Division at The Bank of Tokyo LTD. Sonia earned a degree in law from Universidad CEU San Pablo.
