John Zenick has a diverse work experience with involvement in multiple cybersecurity-related roles and projects. As a recent Cybersecurity Club President at Texas A&M University, they went on to become a Cyber Response Services Consultant at KPMG US, and later an Associate Consultant at Mandiant. Furthermore, they have been involved in various cybersecurity-related initiatives and competitions, including serving as the Team Lead for the DOE Cyber Force Competition, CCDC Team Lead, and Webmaster at Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center. John has also gained experience as a Data Engineer at PublicData.com and as an Engineer Internship at Shadowsoft Inc. More recently, they worked as an Incident Response Researcher at Mitiga and currently works as a Security Researcher at Command Zero.
John Zenick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University in 2019. John later pursued a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the same institution and graduated in 2020. In addition to their formal education, John obtained certifications as an RSA Security Scholar from RSA Security in February 2020, and in Programming Foundations: Databases from LinkedIn in August 2019.
