Mrinal Wahal

Mrinal Wahal has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Mrinal is currently a Senior Engineer at Commenda. In 2023, they also founded and is building envsecrets, a CLI-first management platform for environment secrets and variables. Prior to these roles, Mrinal worked as a Software Engineer at Argonaut and Locale.ai, where they led a team of junior engineers and designed and maintained the schema for v2.0 using Hasura (GraphQL). Mrinal also served as an Engineer at Nhost, where they contributed to various aspects of the Nhost stack, including the CLI, front-end client SDKs, and authentication and storage systems.

Before their software engineering roles, Mrinal gained experience as the CEO and Co-Founder of Oversight, where they crowdfunded academic research and sponsored scientific projects. Mrinal also worked as a Developer at the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF), where they focused on Continuous Integration (CI) micro-services for GIN, a self-hosted git repository system. In addition, they conducted research on the weaponization of AI and artificial moral agents at CSIR - Central Drug Research Institute and led the development of an AI-powered legal case analysis platform as the ex-Chief Technology Officer of Caseverse.io. Mrinal also has experience in build and release engineering and DevOps at InstantPost, where they automated remote servers and served as a technical writer.

Mrinal Wahal completed a course in Neural Networks & Deep Learning at Stanford University in 2018, focusing on Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks & Deep Learning from deeplearning.ai in March 2018. Mrinal also holds certifications as a Red Hat Certified System Administrator from Red Hat, obtained in April 2017, and as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (R&S) from Cisco, although the specific month and year of obtaining the Cisco certification are unknown. Mrinal Wahal also obtained a certification in "The Global Financial Crisis" from Yale University in March 2019.
