Chemeka Goss-Kater is an experienced professional in the field of legal investigations and internal audit management. Currently serving as the Internal Audit Manager at Commerce Casino since May 2022, Chemeka previously held roles as a Trial Investigator for the Federal Public Defender in Los Angeles from October 2015 to May 2022, and as an Investigator at the Community Law Office of Jefferson Public Defenders from September 2013 to September 2015. Chemeka's extensive background also includes positions as a Transitional Living Program Supervisor at Kings Home Inc. and Staff Investigator for Federal Defenders, Inc., where participation in the Capital Habeas National Conference committee took place. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Legal Studies with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Loyola Law School, a graduate focus in Clinical Mental Health in Counseling from Alabama State University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University.
