Daniel Schmitz

Daniel Schmitz is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Operations at Commercial Food Sanitation L.L.C. since September 2015. With a strong background in food safety and quality management, Schmitz previously held the position of Associate Director at The Kraft Heinz Company, where responsibilities included resetting the manufacturing network for the Oscar Mayer Business Unit. Schmitz's extensive career at Kraft Foods Group spanned two decades and included roles such as Quality Manager and Program Manager, focusing on product protection, quality systems, and compliance across multiple business units. Prior to the food industry, Schmitz had a distinguished 24-year career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel with numerous combat sorties. Schmitz holds an MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business and a BS in Meat and Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
