J.r. Shepherd

J.R. Shepherd has a strong work background in manufacturing and engineering. J.R. began their career at Cummins Filtration as a Product Engineering Intern, where they focused on implementing new aftermarket products and making design changes to existing ones. J.R. also conducted benchmarking of competitor products to improve quality and performance.

After their internship, J.R. Shepherd joined Nelson Global Products as a Manufacturing/Project Engineer. In this role, they worked on continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing techniques and capital equipment projects. J.R. was responsible for process improvements, cost savings projects, capacity planning, and supporting Corporate Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Currently, J.R. Shepherd holds the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. J.R. supports new product launches from a manufacturing perspective and implements capital improvement projects. J.R. also provides support and improvements to manufacturing lines before and after new product launches.
