Matthew Packard

Matthew Packard is a seasoned law enforcement leader currently serving as the IACP 3rd Vice President Candidate, with campaigning efforts underway for the 2024 IACP Annual Conference in Boston, MA. Since beginning tenure as Chief of the Colorado State Patrol in December 2017, Colonel Packard has demonstrated commitment through various leadership roles, including General Chair of the Division of State and Provincial Police on the IACP Executive Board and Vice Chair of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). With a degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado and certificates from Northwestern University and the FBI National Executive Institute, Matthew Packard is well-prepared for the challenges of law enforcement leadership.
