Samuel Farina is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as the Chief of Police for the Village of Fairport Police since September 2015. Farina has held multiple prominent roles, including as a Hostage Negotiator Facilitator for the U.S. Department of State, where training has been provided to foreign law enforcement agencies. As the founder and President of the New York Association of Hostage Negotiators, Farina leads efforts in hostage negotiation training. With extensive accreditation experience as a Gold Standard Assessor for CALEA, Farina has also served as an Accreditation Manager and held various positions within the Rochester Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff's Office, demonstrating a strong background in operational oversight and criminal justice education as an adjunct professor. Farina holds two Master's Degrees in Criminal Justice Administration and Forensic Psychology, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice - Police Science.
