Eamon Waterford

Eamon Waterford has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Eamon is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the Committee for Sydney, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, Eamon worked as the Chief Strategy Officer at the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade from April 2022 to February 2023. Eamon also served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Investment NSW from December 2021 to April 2022, and as the Chief Adviser from April 2021 to December 2021.

Before these roles, Eamon had a long tenure at the Committee for Sydney, starting as the Head of Strategy and Advocacy in June 2015. Eamon progressed through various positions within the organization, including Director of Policy, Acting CEO, and ultimately Deputy CEO and Director of Policy. Eamon'stenure with the Committee for Sydney ended in April 2021.

Eamon's earlier work experience includes serving as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Youth Action NSW from March 2012 to May 2015. Eamon also worked as a Policy Officer at Uniting in the Social Justice Unit from August 2010 to February 2012. Additionally, they held positions such as Project Officer at Youth Action & Policy Association and Project Manager at Nepean Campaign Against Homelessness, both in 2010.

Throughout their career, Eamon has been involved in various advocacy, policy, and strategy-related roles, along with managing media and government relations. Eamon has a strong background in youth issues and has held leadership positions in several committees and organizations.

Eamon Waterford completed a Bachelor's degree in International Studies with a focus on Globalisation Studies and Globalisation and International Relations at UNSW from 2006 to 2009. In 2008 and 2009, Eamon participated in an Exchange Program at the University of Oslo (UiO), where they studied Social Sciences and International Relations. Later, from 2011 to 2013, Eamon earned a Master's degree in Political Economy from the University of Sydney.
