Claudia Duarte has extensive experience in journalism, research, and translation, primarily focusing on press freedom and human rights. As a journalist at the Committee to Protect Journalists since 2003, Claudia has researched press freedom violations across South and Central America and collaborated with various teams, also translating critical content into Portuguese. Claudia has coordinated volunteer translation efforts since 2001 and has held a leadership role at Amnesty International from 2001 to 2011, managing projects and expanding membership significantly in Brazil. Previously, Claudia worked as a Journalism Coordinator at A Tribuna, gaining comprehensive media industry experience. Ongoing education includes studies in data journalism, social media analysis, and human rights legislation.
