Catia Burnett

Catia Burnett has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Catia most recently worked as the Director of HR Operations & Compliance at Common App, where they led and managed payroll and time & attendance processes, processed personnel changes, managed HR system integrations, and liaised with vendors and the accounting team. Prior to that, they served as a Senior HR and Payroll Specialist at Marcum LLP for two years. Catia also worked as a Human Resources Manager at Red Hawk Fire&Security, where they implemented employee engagement strategies, managed employee/employer disciplinary actions, and designed and delivered training. Additionally, they served as an HR Generalist at the same company, handling payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, and new-employee orientations. Catia's earlier experience includes working as a Payroll Specialist at Paychex and holding various roles at Capital One, including Clerical Associate II/E-mail Specialist, Customer Relations Specialist/Small Business Banking Specialist, and Customer Care Associate.

Catia Burnett completed their education at the University of Maryland Global Campus. From 2008 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management. Later, from 2016 to 2018, Catia attained a Master of Science degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained several certifications. In May 2021, Catia received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Moreover, in June 2021, they obtained two professional certifications: PHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI and SHRM-CP from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
