Ben Kornell

Ben Kornell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and venture capital. Currently serving as the Managing Partner of the Common Sense Growth Fund since January 2022, Kornell invests in early-stage companies that positively impact children and families. As a co-founder of Edtech Insiders, Kornell connects the edtech community through a podcast, newsletter, and events, reaching over 40,000 individuals. Kornell is also a re-elected School Board Member for the San Carlos School District, focusing on learner-centered education and teacher retention. Previous roles include Chief Growth Officer at Higher Ground Education and President & CEO of Altitude Learning, during which Kornell led efforts to promote learner-centered education globally. Kornell holds an MBA and a Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University, as well as an AB in History and Literature from Harvard University.
