Jessica Moment

Director at Common Sense Media

Jessica Moment is a community volunteer and philanthropist and especially focuses on the issues of education and art in San Francisco. She is currently Chair of the San Francisco Council for Common Sense Media. In addition, she serves on the Board of Trustees for San Francisco Day School and is Co-Chair of the This Is Our Day Campaign, the goal of which is to raise $30M for facilities expansion at the school. Jessica is also currently one of the chairs for the 125th Anniversary and inaugural On the Edge annual fundraiser for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Previously, Jessica founded a women’s clothing and accessories boutique named Philanthropist in Presidio Heights from 2008-2013, from which she donated 100% of profits to a hand-selected charity, and worked as a merchandiser from 2001-2004. She has a B.A. from Northwestern University in American Studies and Women’s Studies and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Law School.

Her philanthropic work also includes: serving as Governance Chair and Development Chair for Raphael House, as Development Chair for The Little School, where she oversaw and ran a $4.8M capital campaign to enhance facilities and provide a faculty-appreciation fund; serving on the National Council for the Humane Society of the United States and the Bay Area Regional Board for Northwestern University; and, spearheading and chairing many other fundraising and political events in San Francisco, including fundraisers for UCSF, the California Academy of Sciences, SFMOMA, Everytown For Gun Safety, Boys and Girls Clubs’ of San Francisco, and the Tipping Point Community. Jessica lives in San Francisco with her husband, Jason, and two children, Henry and Isabel.
