commonkind is an Australian not-for-profit based on a core belief that charity begins at home and, by harnessing the collective action of children and families, we can evolve Australia from the “lucky country” to the “loving country”. We provide benevolent relief to people and communities in Australia suffering from poverty, disadvantage and distress by running age-appropriate community service programs for children, families and other interested parties. Our programs aim to reduce poverty, eliminate food insecurity, and improve health and well-being. Each program is aligned with one of the following United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals: SDG1: No Poverty SDG2: Zero Hunger SDG3: Good Health and Well-being Our commonkind children and families can see how collectively their small actions can make a big difference on a global scale. Children and young people are capable, well-intentioned and willing, but typically can’t find organisations that will accept their help. We offer age-appropriate service opportunities for our youngest Australians to help their local communities at times and ways that are convenient to their busy lives. On the other hand, charities often have overwhelming needs coupled with underwhelming resources. commonkind provides a simple and convenient solution to these problems by aggregating like-minded people (commonkind families) and applying them to the current challenges faced by our charity partners. We partner with charities to identify suitable tasks that our families can complete during our sessions. We help charities stretch their limited resources further. Join the movement to make kind common - support our littlest Australians to change the world in BIG ways.
