Phillip Chang

Phillip Chang currently serves as the Chief Medical & Quality Officer at CommonSpirit Health since July 2025, responsible for ensuring high-quality and safe care within the organization. Previously, Phillip held the position of SVP Chief Medical and Quality Officer at Memorial Hermann Health System from June 2022 to July 2025, where collaboration with CMOs and CNOs focused on improving patient outcomes and addressing quality gaps. As Chief Medical Officer at University Hospitals from March 2020 to May 2022, Phillip managed credentialing and peer review processes while driving performance improvement initiatives. Phillip's extensive experience also includes serving as Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Trauma, Critical Care, and General Surgery, and OR Medical Director at the University of Kentucky from July 2005 to March 2020. Phillip earned a Master of Business Administration from Gatton College of Business and Economics between January 2016 and January 2018, and obtained a degree from the University of Kentucky from January 1999 to January 2005.
