Matthew Watters

Matthew Watters is a seasoned analytics professional with extensive experience in data analysis and application within the banking and financial services sectors. Currently serving as Senior Manager Analytics at Commonwealth Bank since June 2016, Matthew has led assurance projects focusing on financial securities, financial crime, transaction monitoring, technology, and cybersecurity. Prior roles include overseeing large-scale customer remediation programs and developing risk indicators in the Wealth Management division. Prior to Commonwealth Bank, Matthew worked at Deloitte in various analytical roles, delivering insights for ASX listed clients and engaging in strategic projects related to payroll validation and fraud detection. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UNSW and is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Accounting at the University of New England.
