Deborah Young

Deborah Young has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on business partnering and strategy implementation. Deborah worked as a Human Resources Business Partner Director at Commonwealth Care Alliance in 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Parexel, including Global Human Resources Business Partner, Principal Human Resources Business Partner, and Senior Human Resources Business Partner, where they supported different business units and implemented HR solutions to drive organizational goals and initiatives. Before Parexel, they worked at Progressive Insurance as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, providing leadership and support to a diverse workforce. Deborah also gained experience at General Motors as an HR Representative and Employee Relations Consultant, where they handled generalist responsibilities and oversaw Affirmative Action Programs and Equal Employment Opportunity claims. In the early stages of their career, they worked at University Hospitals as a Minority Faculty Development Coordinator and Education and Training Specialist, focusing on diversity strategies and training programs for non-medical staff.

Deborah Young holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from The University of Alabama. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including a Customer Experience Program Advisor certification from the University of Richmond, a Certified DISC Coach certification from Institute Success™, a SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resources Management, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) certification from HRCI.
