Elaine Sherwood

Elaine Sherwood currently serves as the Manager of Behavioral Health Utilization Management at Commonwealth Care Alliance since August 2023. Prior to this role, Elaine held the position of Clinical Manager at Tufts Health Plan from June 2016 to August 2023, where responsibilities included managing behavioral health utilization management for inpatient teams, ensuring compliance with documentation and medical necessity requirements, and overseeing the emergency department boarding team. Elaine holds a Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice from Boston University School of Social Work, obtained between 1996 and 1999, and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Framingham State University. Additional academic credentials include studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
