Manager, Project Execution at ComEd

Michael Macak, P.M.P. has extensive work experience in project management and engineering roles. Michael currently serves as the Principal Project Manager at ComEd, where they lead multiple concurrent capital transmission and substation projects. In this role, they coordinate various functional groups within the organization to achieve project objectives and effectively manages project risks. Prior to their current position, Michael worked as a Senior Project Manager at ComEd.

Before joining ComEd, Michael worked at EN Engineering as a Project Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, where they applied federal, industry, and client standards to design safe and effective pipelines and facilities. Michael also developed engineered equipment specifications.

Previously, Michael worked as a Product Manager and Application and Sales Engineer at Haskris Company. In these roles, they identified potential markets for new product offerings, coordinated communication between departments, and provided technical support to end-users and service contractors.

Michael started their career as a Mechanical Engineering student at Milwaukee School of Engineering, where they completed coursework in computer applications, mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and mathematics. Michael developed strong analytical and public speaking skills through coursework and student project teams. Additionally, Michael worked as a Learning Resource Center Tutor during their time at the university.

Michael also gained experience as an Engineering Intern at Haskris Company.

Michael Macak, P.M.P. obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Michael also holds a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in June 2020.
