Adam Kuang is a Senior Scientist at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since October 2022, contributing to the development of the SPARC tokamak in collaboration with the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center. Previously, Adam held roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2014 to October 2022, including Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate. Adam's experience also includes positions as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Canterbury, a Design Engineering Intern at Fisher and Paykel Appliances, a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Jurong Shipyard, an Engineering Technician Intern at NUPLEX INDUSTRIES LIMITED, and a Residential Assistant at Campus Living Villages. Adam holds a PhD in Plasma Science and Fusion Energy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Canterbury.
