Andy McIntosh

Andy McIntosh is a skilled Sr. Mechanical Engineer, currently with Commonwealth Fusion Systems since March 2024. Previously, McIntosh served as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer and Team Lead at Stafl Systems from February 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included leading battery development projects and mentoring a team of engineers. Prior experience includes working as a Design Engineer II at Honda R&D Americas, Inc., focusing on hybrid electric drive components and optimizing designs for safety and manufacturability. McIntosh also led a team under a NASA grant at Dunand Research Group, conducting analysis for a CubeSAT mission, and contributed to Northwestern Formula Racing as a Chassis Team Member. McIntosh holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Design Certificate from the Segal Design Institute.
