Ethen Lund is a graduate student researcher at Yale University since August 2019, focusing on recycling-oriented alloy design and ductile amorphous alloys under the guidance of Professor Jan Schroers. Ethen has managed over four research projects with more than seven collaborators and has mentored five undergraduate researchers. Previously, Ethen completed an internship at Apple as a Material Recovery Intern in 2023 and served as Co-Chair of the Student Advisory Board at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale from 2020 to 2022, where leadership and program development were key responsibilities. Ethen's research experience includes a role as a research assistant in the Chemistry Department at Pomona College, where synthesis and characterization of polymeric drug delivery platforms were conducted, as well as an NSF Research Fellow position at Duke University focused on polymer application probes. Ethen holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science and an MS, MPhil in Engineering & Applied Science from Yale University and a BA in Chemistry from Pomona College.
