Shiyun Ruan

Shiyun Ruan, PhD, PMP, serves as the Head of Special Projects at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, where responsibilities include managing the delivery of Toroidal Field magnet structural cases and developing metals and welding processes for cryogenic applications. Prior roles include Director of Advanced Materials at Triton Systems, Inc., where grant acquisition and program growth were key focuses, and Vice President of Engineering at Advanced Functional Fabrics of America, overseeing numerous collaborative product development projects. Shiyun Ruan has also held positions at Baker Hughes, Xtalic Corporation, and has a strong academic background, culminating in a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT.
