Jack Defina

Jack Defina has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jack started as a Divisional Financial Controller at Dunkin' Donuts in 1976, where they audited franchise locations and reported to the Senior VP. Jack then became a Franchise Owner at Jani-King International, Inc., overseeing a staff of 20 and building the franchise's revenue to over $200K annually. Jack later became a Franchise Owner at Sign*A*Rama, managing all daily operations and increasing annual sales from $100K to $400K.

Jack then joined Chock full o' Nuts as Controller, managing financial and operations functions for over 200 specialty coffee cafés. Jack improved the revenue stream by reducing the time required to open new franchises.

Jack also founded their own consultancy firm, JSD Financial, where they served as the Managing Principal. Jack performed due diligence for multiple acquisitions and created a method for partnership formation. Jack later worked as CFO at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, overseeing various departments and managing an $80 million operating budget. Lastly, they served as the Human Resources Director and Director of A/P, A/R, and Facilities for the Executive Office of Labor & Workforce Development in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In these roles, they directed daily activities, oversaw staff, and reported to higher-level authorities.

Jack Defina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Finance from Bentley University. Jack also attended Franklin Cummings Tech, where they studied Math & English.
