Arlene Marshall-Hockensmith, Esq. is a dedicated advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, currently serving as a member of the HIRE Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and as Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. With extensive experience in various leadership roles, including their tenure as Director of DEI at the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network and service on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Arlene has consistently worked to promote collaboration and resources for enhancing diversity initiatives. Arlene also contributed as a fellow in the NLADA Racial Equity Institute and has held several legal and administrative positions throughout a career that commenced with a JD from Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Arlene's academic background includes a Bachelor's in Political Science from Penn State University and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certification from Northwestern University.
