Melanie Gilbert

Melanie Gilbert serves as Senior Legal Counsel at the Commonwealth Treasury since January 2022 and is also engaged in legal research at the University of Technology Sydney since September 2018. Previously, Melanie held several key positions, including Policy Officer at the NSW Department of Education, Legal Transformation Manager at LegalVision Australia, and Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions at King & Wood Mallesons. Melanie's experience extends to working as a secondee lawyer at Westpac and serving as a trainee lawyer at Linklaters and BAUDIN DAHAN NICOLET. Melanie completed multiple educational degrees, including the Certificat d'Aptitude à la Profession d'Avocat from HEDAC and a Master's in Law and Tax Management from EDHEC Business School, as well as a Master's in Business Law and a Master's in Business Management from other esteemed institutions.
