Ty Smith

Ty Smith has a long and varied work experience. In 2020, they became the CEO of CommSafe AI, a cloud-based solutions provider that analyzes communications to identify and flag risks. Ty also serves as a Board Member for the University of Arizona Global Campus. In 2019, they were an Executive Partner/Volunteer Coach for MBA/MBV Students at the University of Southern California, a Mentor at the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, and a Trustee at Ashford University. From 2007 to 2020, they were a Master Training Specialist at the Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command. From 1996 to 2007, they were a U.S. Navy Special Operations Senior Chief (SEAL) at Naval Special Warfare - U.S. Navy SEAL Teams.

Ty Smith has attended three educational institutions. From 2011 to 2015, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. From 2015 to 2016, they earned a Master of Business for Veterans (MBV) from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Ty is currently in the process of earning an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from The University of Arizona Global Campus, which is expected to be completed by 2022.
