Meghan Dougherty is an accomplished Communications Manager at the Colorado Lottery since November 2019, with extensive experience in media relations and marketing communications. As the owner, consultant, and founder of Dougherty Relations since March 1996, Meghan has provided expertise to a diverse range of clients. Meghan serves as a counselor for CIG, advising on media relations strategies. Additionally, Meghan is a co-author of "The Dorothy’s Derby Chronicles," a unique roller derby book series aimed at tweens. Previous roles include Communications Director for the Lorena Garcia for Senate campaign and the Jamie Giellis for Denver campaign. Meghan has held significant positions in organizations such as Oral Health Colorado and Wild Bear Center for Nature Discovery. Educationally, Meghan earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from New York University, further solidifying a robust background in communications.
