Brianna Schmitz

Brianna Schmitz began their career in 2016 as an Account Executive at Crosswalk Media, where they managed social media for the Northwestern College Business Department, strategized and designed marketing materials targeted to prospective students and their parents, and coordinated the creation and execution of communications plans for several clients. In 2017, they joined Communications Strategy Group (CSG®) as a Senior Associate, where they managed client accounts, made strategic recommendations, and designed and executed campaigns. Brianna also secured coverage in tier one consumer and education trade publications. In the same year, they also joined Decibel Blue as a Senior Intern, where they assisted executives while learning the ropes of communications by handling client social media accounts, creating foundational PR materials and coordinating interviews. Brianna exceeded the goal of raising $5,000 for a nonprofit animal education center. In 2017, Brianna was promoted to Director at CSG®, where they developed countless communications strategies focused on content process optimization, increased share of voice from 1% to 9% YoY, generated 500+ leads when launching a well-known hardware company in the education industry, consistently secured SXSW EDU speaking opportunities year after year, and generated 700+ teacher applications for virtual teaching solution via paid digital strategization. In 2019, Brianna was promoted to Vice President at CSG®, where they provide strategic insight and direction for a portfolio of 20+ clients, coaches and accelerates the growth of a team of 10+ brilliant individuals, and contributes to agency-wide professional learning efforts.

Brianna Schmitz obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish from Northwestern College between 2013 and 2017. In December 2017, they obtained a Power Yoga 200 Hour Certification from CorePower Yoga. In November 2017, they obtained an Inbound Certified certification from HubSpot. In January 2018, they obtained a Content Marketing Certified certification from HubSpot. In March 2018, they obtained a Sprout Social Certified Professional certification from Sprout Social, Inc. In July 2018, they obtained a Social Media Certified certification from HubSpot.
