Ricardo Ramirez Mendoza serves as Site Director and Site Coordinator at Communities In Schools of Los Angeles since August 2021, playing a pivotal role in facilitating school-wide events, promoting student engagement and academic success, and connecting families to community resources. Prior experience includes acting as Reengagement Coordinator, assisting disengaged students with academic plans, and providing personalized support. Ricardo's background also features roles as a Special Needs Caretaker at Cambrian Homecare, a Retail Salesworker at Foot Locker, and a Social Media and Service Intern at the UCLA Bruin Resource Center. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA and a High School Diploma from Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts.

Our commitment to students brings communities together for them. We start by collaborating with school districts and schools to understand each student’s needs, and deliver resources tailored to them. But we don’t stop there. We go beyond the classroom to work with local businesses, social service agencies, healthcare providers and volunteers, to give every student the confidence to overcome life’s future roadblocks and own their success.
