Zach Deegan

Zachary Deegan has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Zachary started their career as a Staff Veterinarian at Animal Care and Control of NYC in 2009, where they worked until 2011. In the same year, they also began working as a Veterinarian in NYC until 2018. During their time in NYC, they also worked part-time as a Spay/Neuter Surgeon at The Toby Project from 2012 to 2015. In 2011, they joined the ASPCA and held various roles, including Spay/Neuter Surgeon, Spay/Neuter Surgeon and Educator for the National Spay/Neuter Project, and finally as Spay/Neuter Surgeon until 2019. Currently, since 2018, they are the Veterinary Director of Training and Development at the Spay Neuter Project of Los Angeles Inc.

Zachary Deegan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Clemson University in 2005. Zachary then pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The University of Georgia from 2005 to 2009, specializing in Small/Companion Animal Surgery and Medicine.
