Marvin E. Onyemaechi

Marvin is both a strategic and tactical executive with years of experience in IT leadership and operations. His expertise is in IT transformation and Consolidation of Hospital systems. He has led projects to homogenize IT infrastructure across Hospital Networks. He is a result-driven leader and bridge builder with strong analytical and communication skills. His experience includes business technology strategy, process improvement, systems efficiency, human capital management and culture change.

Marvin holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry. He commenced his master’s degree at University of Maryland University College (UMUC) in Technology Management, and completed successfully at the Harvard Business School for Executive Education in Delivering Information Technology program.

Previously, Mr. Onyemaechi was the Senior Director of IT and Chief Privacy Officer for The George Washington University Hospital (GWUH) where he was responsible for IT Transformation and Operations. Prior to GWUH, Marvin served as Chief Technology Officer at EMECO Consulting & Technology, Inc.’s Technology Consulting practices whereby he provided strategic planning for Projects, Business Applications, Data Center Management/Operations (including Cloud Services), IT Security (Cyber-security)/Governance and Telecommunications.

Marvin enjoys sharing knowledge and exploring of ideas. He served as a speaker/panelist: Cloud Applications and Cloud Security, hosted by Health IT Council HealthTech Research Alliance & Council (HTRAC), and Big Data Analytics and Enterprise IT Architecture Security, Health IT Council (HTRAC), and Cloud Services and Healthcare Five Years from Now, hosted by CXO Advisory Board Council, and Cybersecurity and Big Data, by CXO Advisory Board Council.
